80th Independence Day Celebration

Sant Hirdaram Nagar, 15 August 2026:

Mithi Gobindram Public School celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with great patriotic fervour, enthusiasm and pride at Sant Hirdaram Auditorium. The celebration reflected the spirit of nationalism, cultural diversity and responsible citizenship.

The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and floral tribute, followed by a warm welcome to Shri Ghanshyam Bulchandani Ji, Secretary, Shaheed Hemu Kalani Educational Society. Addressing the gathering, he extended Independence Day greetings and inspired students to uphold the unity, integrity and glory of the nation.

Mrs. Rekha Kewlani, Principal, MGPS, delivered the welcome address and urged everyone to strengthen the spirit of patriotism, preserve national unity and sincerely fulfil their duties towards the country. Mrs. Divya Kriplani, Vice Principal, MGPS, played an important role in coordinating and ensuring the smooth conduct of the celebration.

The School Captain, Vedant Sharma, and Monish Mangalani of Class III shared inspiring thoughts on patriotism, sacrifice and the significance of Independence Day.

The students presented vibrant cultural performances showcasing India’s rich heritage, diversity and love for the motherland, filling the auditorium with patriotic energy and enthusiasm.

A special highlight was the presentation of the Best Student Awards for excellence, discipline, dedication and all-round development. The awardees were Pratham Chelani (I–II), Ansh Dixit (III–V), Jigar Tilwani (VI–VIII), Rudraksh Singh Koth (IX–X), and Ujjwal Mangtani (XI–XII). Their parents were also honoured.

The Student Council members were felicitated for their leadership and commitment. Students and teachers were also honoured for securing Third Position in the Patriotic Song Competition organised by Bharat Vikas Parishad.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Amrita Motwani, Principal, NHLPS, followed by the distribution of Cadbury Choco Fill Cookies.

The celebration was a memorable blend of patriotism, cultural expression, achievement and pride, inspiring the MGPS family to cherish the values of freedom and contribute towards the progress of the nation.
