MOTIVATIONAL SESSION ON "HOW TO GET GOOD MARKS"

A positive attitude may not solve all our problems, but that is the only option we have if we want to get out of them. In the present scenario, 'stress', 'fear', 'anxiety', 'restlessness' etc. have become very common words at a tender age of student's life, especially when it comes to examination. Sometimes, it leads a student towards negative thoughts and wrong decisions. So, it becomes highly necessary to council, motivate and guide our young students towards the right direction, so that they not only cope with these exam oriented fear and phobia, but also come up with flying colours in every exam.

With the pure and noble cause of the welfare of students and to give a perfect beginning to the new year, a motivational counselling session was held on 3rd January 2018 in NHLPS auditorium for the students of classes IX and XII of Mithi Gobindram Public School in the pious presence of Rev. Siddh Bhauji, Chairman SHKES, Respected A.C. Sadhwani, Secretary, SHKES, Dr. Ajaykant Sharma, Principal, MGPS & learned facilitators of MGPS.

After the lightning of ceremonial lamp and garlanding the portraits of Goddess Saraswati, Goddess Bharti and His Holiness Sant Hirdaram Sahibji the session began.

Rev. Siddh Bhauji started his experience sharing with creating attention by highlighting the importance of time and these years in a student’s life. He stressed upon scoring good marks, set a practical goal and the requirement of all service sectors. He emuniciated various issues step by step related to student life starting with good food habits, how to develop good habits, being polite and mild in speech and be grateful and thankful to God, parents and teachers. He also highlighted the harmful effects of improper and junk food bought from the market. He gave his valuable suggestion on how to keep yourself away from depression and how it becomes the main reason of mental disorder. He pleaded the students to keep wrong friendship away from them and be a friend to studious children. He also urged the students to be hardworking and focused, make right choices at right time, target to big goals, keep away from all kinds of intoxications, mobile and social sites, get guidance and directions from great achievers and to strive strong to attain a respectable position in the society.

He quoted many practical examples in the form of stories and explained the students the value and importance of parents, grandparents, teachers and prayer. He even urged the students the value of self-realization, benefits of getting up early in the morning and ways of keeping away your ego. He also shared the process of sprouting grains, ways of consuming it and benefits of consuming it.

Most importantly, he detailed his extremely valuable suggestions and notes at least 15 days before the exam, framing a special time table for the revision and follow it strictly, arrange the pen- pencil box with all the required things, along with the admit card, for before the commencement of the exam, reach the school before time on exam days, read the question paper very carefully, write in ligible hand writing and with neat presentation , not to use any unfair means, proper division and utilisation of allotted time accordingly to the number and marks of questions, completing the paper before 15-20 minutes and give that time to revision, highlighting the heading and main points and attempting the incomplete answers. As a token of the love and blessings of Rev.Siddh Bhauji, the handouts comprising the crucial ideas and tips to achieve quality result, were distributed to all the students.

Respected A.C. Sadhwani Sir, Secretary SHKES, by giving the example of Rev. Siddh Bhauji, highlighted upon punctuality, time management and discipline. He stated Bhauji’s selfless commitment and contribution in the welfare of students and society and requested the students to listen to Bhauji’s words of wisdom carefully and patiently and imbibe them to score the best result and to secure a bright career and future.

Principal Dr. Ajaykant Sharma welcomed the audience and reiterated the new evaluation policy in effective and detailed manner in order to apprise the students with the agenda of the session, importance of self-discipline, regularity & punctuality.

At the end, Master Aditya Kapoor, School Captain proposed the vote of thanks.
