A NOBLE ACT OF SOCIAL SERVICE & SELF AWARENESS

 

On 10 December 2018, 15 students of Std. IX-B of Mithi Gobindram Public School went to Shyam Nagar Slum Area near Habibganj Thana to perform a SEWA Activity.

They performed some poster based presentations and a skit on the topic ANTI-ADDICTION and ANTI-DRUGS. The students also met some volunteers of Sahara Saksharta Mission, which is an NGO that works in the field of Anti -Addiction in various slum areas and other places of Bhopal. The students had a group discussion with these volunteers and learnt about their mission, motive, vision and success story. They were highly inspired and motivated.

The students also got the opportunity to meet two young and active socialist who work as volunteers in the District Court Bhopal for the cases against Child Sexual Abuse and Harassment. The students had an open discussion on this topic as well and asked many questions. They gained a lot of knowledge and became aware about various ways and laws of Child Sexual Abuse and Harassment.

The activity was planned and executed by the class teacher of IX-B, Ms. Suchitra Sen who extended her most humble gratitude to Rev. Siddh Bhauji, Shri A.C. Sadhwani and Principal Dr. Ajay Kant Sharma, Vice Principal Mrs. Rita Gurbani, Sant Chaurha, Ms. Durga Mishra for their support, guidance and motivation. She also thanked the management for entrusting her and giving her this opportunity to conduct such an activity.

It was an exemplary exposure for the students and it ended as a very fruitful and learning experience for them.
