A session on ‘MEATLESS DAY’ was conducted in Navnidh Auditorium for classes VII & VIII with the blessings of Paramhans Sant Hirdaram Sahibji and under the guidance and motivation of Rev. Siddh Bhauji along with the presence of Mr. Thawar Varlani ji, member, SHKES, Mrs. Rita Gurbani, Vice- Principal, MGPS, Co- ordinator, teachers and students. Meatless Day is celebrated on the occasion of birthday of Dada Sadhu Vaswani ji every yearto motivate the students and society to be vegetarian.

Rev. Siddh Bhauji, Chairman, SHKES, conveyed the significance of being a vegetarian and asked students to use natural products (as per the season) that boosts immunity.

Shri A.C Sadhwani, Secretary, SHKES, addressed students and encouraged them to follow vegetarian life. He also asked students to request to parents and other members of family and society to bring positive change in their life style by following good food habits and by eating vegetarian food. He also wished students for their upcoming exams.

Mr. Thawar Varlani, member, SHKES, had arranged all the natural products like fruits, dry fruits nuts, Jaggery, honey and explained to the students the benefits of consumption of natural products.

Mrs. Rita Gurbani, Vice- principal, MGPS, convinced students to students to show pity, compassion and love for kind and innocent animals.

Mrs. Shashi Nath, teacher, MGPS, conveyed the importance of nutrients for healthy body. She asked students to ponder over the gifts of nature and follow vegetarian diet.

Mrs. Ranjeeta Phulwani, teacher, MGPS, conveyed easy and cheaper availability of fruits and vegetables compared to non-vegetarian food. She elaborated about enhancing metabolism by sprouts, coconut, almonds, spinach etc. some students also described the importance of consuming natural diet by beautiful display charts.

Mr. Brajesh Chourey, teacher, MGPS, prepared PPT. to convey students about harms of consuming non-vegetarian food.
