Under the SEWA ACTIVITY PROGRAM, as per the CBSE guidelines, 15 students were taken to ANAND DHAM OLD AGE HOME, Bhopal on 31st October, 2018. These students, along with the class teacher, contributed for the lunch being served to the 28 abandoned old people staying there. The students got the opportunity to make a visit to various sections of the old age home like Councelling Hall, Medical treatment room and facilities, Cultural activities hall, Worship hall, Garden Park and Dining hall. The students themselves served the meal to the old residents.

The highlight of the activity was the pledge taken by the students, in which they promised that they will never abandon their parents and grandparents and will always take care of them with love and compassion. They also vowed that they will spread the same message in the society as well, so that there won't be any need of an old age home in future in our country. It turned out to be a very emotional and heart-touching moment for everyone.

This gesture of the students has proved that whatever values and ethics they have been learning since their childhood in this pious institution and the motivation and learning that they are gaining from Rev. Siddh Bhauji will not go in vain. The students of MGPS are imbibing all these values and morals and will be proved as good, responsible and aware citizens of our country in the days to come.

The students came back with a mixed feeling from the old age home. On the one hand they felt pity and were sympathetic towards those old residents and on the other hand they were happy and contented that their efforts and small act could bring a smile on the face of all of them.

The activity was planned and initiated by Ms. Suchitra Sen, Class teacher of IX-B, who extended her heartfelt gratitude to Rev. Siddh Bhauji, Chairman, SHKES, Shri A.C. Sadhwani ji, Secretary, SHKES, Dr. Ajay Kant Sharma, Principal, MGPS, Mrs. Rita Gurbani, Vice-Principal, MGPS for giving this opportunity and platform to conduct such a learning activity. Mr. Piyush Turkar, Counsellor, MGPS also accompanied the students and rendered his contribution in the fulfillment of this activity.
