Mithi Gobindram Public School observed Guru Purnima on 27th July, 2018 with great warmth and devotion. The function commenced with the lighting of the auspicious lamp in the holy feet of Maa Saraswati, Maa Bharti and His Holiness Sant Hirdaram Sahibji in the presence of management members, the Principal, the Vice-Principal, Co-ordinators, Staff members and students.

The Guide & Motivator of the society, Rev. Siddh Bhauji in his message extended his best wishes and blessings to the teachers. Shri A.C Sadhwani, Secretary, Shaheed Hemu Kalani Educational Society, graced the occasion with his presence and extended his wishes to the gurus.

The Principal, Dr. Ajay Kant Sharma, extended his wishes on the day and highlighted the importance of the day in the changing scenario. He quoted names of legendary teachers like Maharishi Valmiki, Swami Vivekananda, Sant Hirdaram Sahib ji who have changed the society with their vision and mission. He further urged the students to follow the teachings of Rev. Siddh Bhauji. He guided the students to be disciplined attentive listener, curious to learn and respectful towards teachers.  He shared with the students that a person is blind without a teacher. It is a teacher who teaches us how to live this life and become a good human being. There is nobody in this materialistic world who can save us from the danger of material miseries unless we have receive proper guidance from our guru.

Mrs. Sunita Sharma, Teacher, in her speech highlighted the importance of teacher-student relationship. She motivated the students to follow the Indian culture which is unique and value based. She told the students that the word guru is derived from two words 'gu' and 'ru'. The Sanskrit root 'gu' means darkness or ignorance and 'ru' denotes the removal of darkness.

Master Shourya Nayak, V-B and Master Dhairya Singh Jadon, VI-C in their speeches expressed gratitude towards all the teachers as they show the path of righteousness.

A mesmerizing and heart touching cultural bonanza of the day included Guru Vandana, a drama by the students of Classes 3 and 4 (to show gender equality) and a dance drama by the students of Classes 5 , 6  and 7  (Ramayan). The cultural performance was prepared by the students under the skillful guidance of the cultural department of the school.

A successful comparing was done by Ms. Durga Mishra. The programe ended with the singing of National Anthem.
