Life- skills development is a lifelong process that helps individuals grow and mature; build confidence in ones decisions taken on the basis of adequate information and thought, and discover sources of strength within and outside. She explained that to nurture life skills among students it is very important for the teachers to learn, inculcate and implement life skills in their own lives. Developed life skills are synonymous to physical, mental and emotional fitness. She beautifully enunciated the difference between life skills, livelihood skills and vocational skills. She bifurcated life skills in three inter connecting  spheres- Thinking skills, Social skills and Emotional Skills, which were further analysed as Self-awareness, Problem Solving skills, Decision Making skills, Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking, Inter Personal Relationship, Effective Communication, Managing Emotions and Coping with Stress. Meticulously she conducted real life activities with the help of worksheets and hand-outs to trigger, develop and nurture the above mentioned skills. The activities included role-plays, storytelling, dramas, poetry, brainstorming, debating, situation analysis and games and witnessed zealous participation of teachers.

The teachers and guest speaker were welcomed with tea and were served sumptuous lunch by the school management.
